Raggare became dominent in the 1970's oil Crisis in America. Rural Swedes bought American Vintage cars such as Buicks and dogdges. It was a way for young Swedes to rebel against their parents. The cars were also extremely cheap with limited edition ones being sold for only a few thousand.
With the importation of the cars, Grease style music and fashion aslo came. Men slick back their hair and women wear poodle skirts. Rock'n'Roll is the anthem of those with bands like Creedance Clearwater Revival, Chuck Berry, and Elvis Presley being popular
